Wendele Skee Mealey ('91) lives in Wabash, Indiana, where she moved in 1996 to work with disadvantaged teens at a juvenile placement facility. She has been taking master's courses at Grace College and Seminary and now works as a Mental Health Services Coordinator and weekend EMT at the same facility. She married Greg Mealey, who also works with the kids there, in August 1998.

Mary Ellen now lives in the shadow of Mary Foust on McIver Street and currently works for the City of Greensboro as the Catering Coordinator at the Greensboro Coliseum. Bert VanderVeen ('89) married Rebecca Jane Nicholas (UNCG `92 grad) in July. They live in Greensboro.
After earning a graduate degree in architecture from VA Tech in 1985, Mitzi Vernon ('80) taught at Arizona State for 5 years, then moved to L.A. and taught part-time at USC for 2 years. Then she earned a second master's in the product design program in engineering at Stanford and spent 3 years in the Bay Area. She has now returned to VA Tech to teach while working on her ideas for children's books. vernon@vt.edu
